All measurements listed below are body measurements, not garment measurements. For the best fit, measure yourself and compare against the chart. If you are between two sizes, we recommend sizing up for a more comfortable silhouette.

* Measurements are in inches. | All sizes are unstitched/ready-to-stitch — final garment dimensions may vary slightly based on stitching style. | Dupatta dimensions: approx. 2.5 metres across all sizes.
Our suits are unstitched fabric sets. Please share your exact measurements with your tailor. We recommend adding 1–2 inches of ease to all measurements for a comfortable, polished fit.
Accurate measurements are the foundation of a perfectly stitched suit. Follow the steps below using a soft measuring tape. Keep the tape snug but not tight — you should be able to breathe comfortably.
Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your chest, just under your arms. Keep the tape parallel to the floor and make sure it is not pulled too tightly. Stand straight with your arms relaxed at your sides.
Measure around your natural waistline — the narrowest part of your torso, typically about one inch above your belly button. Exhale normally and take the measurement. Do not suck in your stomach.
Stand with your feet together and wrap the tape around the fullest part of your hips and buttocks. This is usually 7–9 inches below your natural waist. Keep the tape parallel to the floor throughout.
Measure from the top of your shoulder (at the base of your neck) straight down to your desired shirt hem — typically mid-thigh for a classic kameez. Ask someone to help for a more accurate measurement.
Measure from your natural waist down to your ankle bone. For a straight-cut trouser, this is your full trouser length. For a churidar, add 6–8 extra inches to allow for the gathered ankle effect.
Bend your arm slightly at the elbow. Measure from the back of your neck, across your shoulder, and down to your wrist bone. This gives you the full sleeve length. For a 3/4 sleeve, stop just below the elbow.
Always use a flexible fabric or plastic measuring tape. A metal ruler will not give accurate body measurements.
For best accuracy, have a friend or family member take your measurements. Self-measurement can cause the tape to shift.
Measure over thin, form-fitting clothing or in your undergarments for the most precise results.
Libaas Studio suits are designed to be stitched to your personal measurements. Understanding the fit you prefer will help your tailor create your perfect silhouette.
A tailored, close-to-body silhouette. Add 1 inch of ease to chest, waist and hip measurements. Ideal for formal and party occasions.
A classic, comfortable cut with 2 inches of ease. The most versatile fit — suitable for everyday, casual, and semi-formal wear.
A loose, flowing silhouette with 3–4 inches of ease. Perfect for lawn and chiffon fabrics where drape and airflow are desired.
When sharing measurements with your tailor, always specify your preferred fit. Mention the occasion (casual, formal, bridal) as this will also guide the tailor on stitching style, neckline depth, and embroidery placement.
A few things to keep in mind when ordering and stitching your Libaas Studio suit:
Lawn and cotton fabrics may shrink slightly after the first wash. We strongly recommend having your fabric pre-washed (or dry cleaned, for delicate fabrics) before sending it to your tailor. This prevents post-stitching shrinkage and size changes.
Each suit includes fabric for kameez (shirt), shalwar/trouser, and dupatta. Standard kameez fabric is 3 metres, trouser fabric is 2.5 metres, and dupatta is approximately 2.5 metres. These dimensions comfortably accommodate all sizes up to 3XL.
If your measurements fall between two sizes, always choose the larger size. Since our suits are unstitched, your tailor can always take the fabric in — but cannot add fabric if the piece is too small. When in doubt, contact our team and we'll advise you personally.
